Trip info — Ski season

Ski season

December through early April, the canyons decide the schedule. What follows is how we work around them.

What changes in winter

4WD and winter tires

All our vehicles run 4WD with winter tires all season. When UDOT posts a traction restriction on Little or Big Cottonwood, we are already compliant.

Canyon closures and interlodge

Avalanche control closes the canyons without much notice. We watch the road reports on the morning of your ride and call you if the plan needs to move.

Earlier starts on powder mornings

After a big overnight storm, canyon traffic backs up long before the lifts turn. We will suggest an earlier pickup rather than let you sit in it.

Drivers who are up there too

Some of our drivers ski and ride right through the season on their own days off. Ask what the snow has been doing this week — you will get an answer from someone who was out in it.

Gear rides free

Skis, boards and boot bags are part of the fare, not an add-on.
