Services — Private Car Service

Private car service in Salt Lake City

Private means the car is yours for the trip. Not a seat on somebody else’s route, not a van that leaves when it fills, and not a circuit of four hotels before yours.

The car is yours from the door you leave to the door you’re going to. We run the airport, both Cottonwood canyons, Park City, downtown and the length of the valley, in a full-size SUV or a 14 passenger van when the group is bigger.

The whole vehicle, not a seat in one

Nobody else is picked up on the way, and there’s no second stop that isn’t yours. Whoever is in the car is someone you arrived with.

Your departure time, not a timetable

You choose the pickup time when you reserve. Nothing is waiting on a van to fill before it starts up the canyon, and there’s no earlier slot you have to take because the one you wanted is gone.

Door to door at both ends

Picked up at your address and dropped at the one you’re going to — the lodge, the hotel, the house. No transfer point, no park and ride, and no last leg you have to work out yourself with the bags.

Room for everything you brought

Five passengers with luggage or full ski gear, or six traveling lighter, and the bags ride in the back rather than on anyone’s lap. Skis, boards and boot bags are included, and so are child car seats on request.

One price, settled before you book

Your quote comes back before you book, and it does not move. No meter, no surge, and the airport fees are already in it.

Any hour, 365 days

Pickups run around the clock, all year. The online system takes a reservation at any hour, and the phone takes texts as well as calls.

Where a private car goes

To and from the airport — Salt Lake City International, Provo and Ogden. We watch the flight and move the pickup to when you actually land, so a delay isn’t something you have to call about.

Up to the resorts — Park City and Deer Valley, the Cottonwood resorts, Sundance, Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. Straight to your lodge, with the gear in the back.

With children — car seats are in the vehicle before it reaches you, at no extra charge, and the stroller comes too.

A whole day, held by the hour — when the day isn’t one trip from A to B, the car and the driver stay with you between stops. Three hour minimum.

Across nine counties — Salt Lake, Davis, Weber, Utah, Summit, Wasatch, Morgan, Tooele and Cache. If your address isn’t obviously on that list, ask — it’s usually a yes.

Questions

Is this a shared shuttle?

No, and that’s the whole difference. A shared van sells seats: it waits until enough of them are filled, then runs a route with everybody’s stops on it, and yours may be first or it may be last. This is the vehicle, and the rate is for the vehicle: one fare, however many of you there are. It goes where you’re going and nowhere else, and it leaves when you asked it to.

Will you pick anyone else up on the way?

Never. Your driver is yours for the trip. There’s no second pickup, no stop that isn’t yours, and nothing added to the route after you book it.

What if my flight is late?

We’re watching the same board you are — delays, early arrivals, diversions — and we move the pickup to your actual arrival without you having to call. Wait time is free for 45 minutes from the moment you land, and $1.25 a minute after that. A delay of several hours can run past the end of a driver’s day, in which case the pickup may be reassigned; we’ll tell you if it does, and someone will be there.

Will everything fit — bags, skis, a stroller?

The full-size SUV takes five passengers with luggage or full ski gear, or six traveling lighter, and the bags go in the back rather than on anybody’s lap. Skis, boards and boot bags ride at no extra charge. Tell us what’s coming when you reserve — a stroller, a bike box, anything outsized — and if the party is bigger there’s a 14 passenger van, quoted per trip.

Do you have car seats?

Yes, included in the fare and up to four in the full-size SUV — infant seats, five point harnesses and boosters. Tell us each child’s age, weight and height when you reserve and the right seats are in the vehicle before it leaves for you. You’re welcome to bring your own instead; fitting the seat and fastening the child are yours to do.

Is it only airport trips?

No. The airport is most of the work, but the same car does an evening out, a day of meetings across the valley, a run up the canyon and back, a wedding, or a game at the Delta Center. If the day has several stops in it, hourly is usually the better way to book it — tell us the plan and we’ll say which comes out cheaper.

What vehicle turns up?

A full-size SUV. We don’t commit to a particular model, because drivers run different vehicles and naming one sets an expectation the next one breaks. It’s licensed and insured commercially for carrying passengers, it runs 4WD on winter tires through the season, and for a larger group there’s a 14 passenger van.

How far ahead should I reserve?

As early as you can. The further ahead we know about a trip, the better we can plan the day around it, and holiday weeks, ski-season Saturdays and early Sunday runs to the airport fill first. Twenty-four hours still works for most trips, and we take later ones by phone. Inside 24 hours the online system closes, and those carry a 20% late booking fee, included in the quote.

Reserve a private car

Tell us the day, the addresses and how many of you there are, and we’ll price the whole thing. The earlier the better — it helps us plan, and it guarantees the slot.
