Terms of use
The terms below cover both this website and the trips themselves. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.
Last updated 15 August 2026
Who we are
Wasatch Mountain Express LLC is an owner-operated private ground transport company working in greater Salt Lake City, the Wasatch canyons and everywhere in between. Where these terms say “we” or “us” they mean Wasatch Mountain Express LLC; “you” means anyone using this website or riding with us.
Using this website
Using this site means you accept these terms. We may update them, and the date at the top of this page shows when we last did. The site is informational: nothing on it is an offer or a binding quote until we confirm your reservation.
The terms you agree to when you book
Making a reservation means accepting the service agreement in our reservation system — whether you book online, complete the link we send you after arranging a trip by telephone, or give us your payment information over the phone. That agreement governs your trip. The page you are reading describes the same arrangement in plainer language, and where the two ever differ, the agreement you accepted when booking is the one that applies.
Quotes and pricing
Published rates are starting prices. Your final price depends on the exact pickup and destination addresses, the time of day, the date and any extras.
A price we quote you over the phone is good for 24 hours. A price shown to you in the online reservation system applies to that session — it is not held for you afterwards, so if you leave without reserving, the price may be different when you come back. A date in high demand may be priced higher than it was. Once you confirm, the price is fixed and it does not change afterwards.
Changing a confirmed reservation — the date, the time, the pickup or destination addresses, added stops, or the number of passengers — means the trip is quoted again at the rates in effect at the time of the change.
Payment
Payment is taken when the reservation is made, not on the day you travel. Reserving online, you pay as part of the booking.
Where a trip is arranged over the telephone, we send you a link by email or text. That link is where you confirm the trip, pay for it and accept these terms — until those steps are complete there is no reservation. If you would rather give payment details on the call itself, ask and we will take it that way; giving us your payment information over the phone means you accept these terms, exactly as completing the link would.
Fares are paid by credit card. An invoice is emailed to you when the trip is complete, showing the total including any applicable taxes and fees.
Reservations inside 24 hours
The online reservation system closes 24 hours before the scheduled pickup. Trips inside that window are arranged by telephone and carry a late booking fee of 20% of the fare, which is included in the quoted price given at the time of booking.
Cancellations
A reservation cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup is refunded in full. Cancellations inside 24 hours are not refunded — at that point the vehicle and the driver are committed to you and the slot cannot be resold. A reservation made inside that window is accordingly non-refundable from the time it is made.
Wait time
Airport pickups include 45 minutes of free wait time, measured from your actual arrival rather than your scheduled one. Time beyond that is charged at $1.25 per minute.
Gratuity
Gratuity is included on every reservation. At the time of booking you select 15%, 20% or 25% of the fare, or enter another amount of not less than 15%. You may instead choose to pay gratuity to the driver directly in cash; where that option is selected and no gratuity is paid to the driver, a gratuity of 20% of the fare is charged to the card on file after the trip.
Extras
Meet and greet inside baggage claim is $40. An extra stop is $20, which covers up to 10 minutes; beyond that, waiting is charged at $1.25 per minute as it is at the airport. Tell us about a stop when you book and it goes in the quote.
Airport fees, child car seats and ski or board carriage are included in the fare. There is no fuel surcharge and there are no toll charges. If anything else would add to your price, we tell you before you book, not after.
Hourly charter
Hourly reservations carry a three hour minimum. The clock runs from pickup to final drop-off, and time past the booked block is billed by the half hour at the hourly rate. There is no mileage limit, but hourly work stays inside our primary service area; longer trips are quoted as a trip rather than by the hour.
Who drives you
Your trip is private — one driver, one vehicle, your party only. Where our own calendar is full, or where a trip needs a vehicle we do not operate ourselves, the work goes to a driver or partner company we have vetted. We remain your point of contact and stand behind the trip either way. Where a flight is delayed long enough to run past the end of a driver’s day, we may reassign your pickup to another driver, and we will tell you if that happens.
Weather and road conditions
Canyon roads may be closed or restricted by UDOT and by avalanche control at short notice. Where a closure or restriction prevents a trip, we will contact you to reschedule and you will not be charged for a trip we cannot complete. We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, road closures, traffic or events outside our control.
Passengers and luggage
Vehicle capacities are published on this site and apply as stated, including with ski gear. Please tell us at the time of booking how many passengers you are and what you are carrying, so the right vehicle is sent. Whoever makes the reservation is responsible for everyone traveling on it. We are not responsible for property left in a vehicle, though we will always try to return it.
Car seats
Car seats are free, and they need to be requested when you book so we have the right one available. Tell us the child’s age, weight and height and we will bring a seat that suits — but choosing the right seat, fitting it and fastening the child are yours to do, and we are not responsible for injury resulting from a seat that was fitted or used incorrectly. Our seats meet legal safety standards and are kept in good condition. You are responsible for damage to or loss of a seat.
Smoking, alcohol and cleaning
All our vehicles are non-smoking. Alcohol may not be consumed in the vehicle — you may carry open containers, but Utah law prohibits drinking on board. You are responsible for the cost of repairing or cleaning a vehicle where damage or mess goes beyond normal wear and tear.

This site links to our reservation provider and to our profiles on Google, Facebook and Instagram. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content.
