Privacy statement

What we collect

When you reserve a ride. Your name, phone number, email address, pickup and destination addresses, the number of passengers and, for airport trips, your flight number. Payment card details go directly to our reservation provider; we do not hold your card number.

When you use the contact form. The name, phone number, email address, topic and message you type into it.

Automatically. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested. We also use analytics, described below.

What we do with it

We use it to quote, plan and carry out your trip, to reach you about it before and during the ride, and to keep our own business and tax records. We do not sell, rent or trade it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Text messages

Giving us your phone number means we may text you about your trip — booking confirmations, ride updates and service messages. How many you get depends on your trip; your carrier’s message and data rates apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

Phone numbers and text message opt-in data are never sold, rented or shared with anyone for marketing. Opting out of promotional messages does not stop the service messages about a trip you have booked.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, so we know what to improve. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects your IP address, the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you use. It does not tell us who you are.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not build a profile of you or follow you to other websites.

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics entirely. Refusing them will not stop any part of this site working — nothing here depends on a cookie.

Each of these has its own privacy policy. We will also release information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Reservation and payment records are kept for as long as we need them for business and tax purposes. Contact form messages are kept while they are useful and then deleted. Ask us to delete your details and we will, unless we have to keep a record for tax purposes.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and reservations and payments are handled by our reservation provider on their own secure system. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not hold card numbers ourselves and we keep to the minimum we need.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. We carry children as passengers, of course, and provide car seats on request — anything we are told about a child is used only to bring the right seat.

Your choices

Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or email using the details below and we will deal with it ourselves — there is no form and no department.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
