SLC Airport Shuttle to Solitude
Solitude is partway up Big Cottonwood, and once you’re in the village you don’t need a car for the rest of the week. Getting there’s the only transport problem worth solving, so we solve that one properly. The airport shuttle to Solitude is a dedicated car and driver, so the only stops between the terminal and the village are the ones you ask for.
Dropped in the village
You get out at the building you’re staying in, with the bags out of the back, rather than left at a lot to work out which way is up with an armful of skis.
Leave the rental car at the airport
Nothing to reserve, no white knuckle drives in the snow up an unfamiliar canyon, nothing to dig out on the last morning. If you’re staying up there for the week, the car was only ever going to sit still anyway.
The canyon in any weather
4WD on winter tires all season, so a traction restriction on the canyon is something we already meet. The tires are what keeps us compliant and moving.
We watch the road that morning
Avalanche control shuts Big Cottonwood without much notice. We check the road report on the morning of your ride and call you if the timing has to move.
Your gear comes free
Skis, boards and boot bags are part of the fare rather than a line on the bill. Five passengers with ski gear in the full-size SUV, six with regular bags.
Never a shared ride
No other parties, no extra stops, and no standing at the terminal waiting on a van to fill. Your driver is yours for the trip.
We track your flight
Delays, early arrivals, diversions: we move the pickup to your actual landing without you having to call, and the 45 minutes of free wait time starts from then.

Rates start here and go up based on details like exact pickup and drop off locations, pickup time, gratuity, and any other extras you choose to add. Pickups late at night, overnight or early in the morning are assessed late night or early morning fees. You will get your complete price before you book, and it does not change. Airport fees are included in the price.

Private condos and rentals in the canyon as well. Give us the building and the unit when you reserve and we’ll note it. Up there that’s more use than a pin on a map.
The drive
Down the valley to the mouth of Big Cottonwood, then up the canyon to the village. How long it takes depends on the hour, the weather and the traffic at the mouth, so rather than print a number that may not hold, the reservation system shows the estimated drive time on your quote, before you book.
After a big overnight storm the canyon backs up long before the lifts turn, and we’ll suggest an earlier pickup rather than let you sit in it.

Solitude questions
If we’re staying in the village, do we need a car at all?
Most parties who stay up there decide they don’t. We bring you up and come back for you at the end, and anything in between (a day at another mountain, dinner down the canyon) can be reserved as its own trip or as an hourly charter, three hour minimum.
What happens if there’s a traction restriction on Big Cottonwood?
Nothing changes for you. Our vehicles run 4WD with winter tires all season, which is what the restriction is asking for, so we’re compliant before it’s posted.
Do skis and snowboards cost extra?
No. Skis, boards and boot bags are part of the fare. Five passengers travel comfortably with ski gear in the full-size SUV, six with regular bags. For a larger group there’s a 14 passenger van, quoted per trip rather than priced off a list.
Where do we meet you at the airport?
Curbside as standard. Your driver confirms with you the day before, then meets you at the first curb outside between columns 5A and 6A. If you would rather be met inside baggage claim, meet and greet costs $45.
Can you take us to another resort for a day?
Yes. A day trip to another mountain is quoted per trip, because it depends on which one and whether we wait for you. Tell us the plan and we’ll put a number on it before you book.
How far ahead should I reserve?
As early as you can. The further ahead we know about a trip, the better we can plan the day around it, and holiday weeks and the busiest stretches of January go first. Twenty-four hours still works for most trips, and we take later ones by phone.
