SLC Airport to Alta
Alta sits at the top of Little Cottonwood, past Snowbird and at the end of the road. That last stretch is the part worth having the right vehicle and a driver who runs it all winter, and it is the part a lot of arrangements fall apart on.
All the way to the top
Past Snowbird and on up to your lodge. It is the steepest, snowiest end of the canyon and the last place you want to be sorting out transport on the day.
Built for Little Cottonwood
4WD on winter tires all season, so a traction restriction on the canyon is something we already meet rather than something we deal with at the mouth.
Closures and interlodge
Avalanche control shuts that road without much notice, and interlodge holds everyone where they are until it lifts. We watch the road report on the morning of your ride and call you if the plan has to move.
Dropped at your lodge
The lodges at Alta sit apart from each other, on a hill, in snow. Give us the one you are booked into and that is the door you get out at.
Your gear comes free
Skis and boot bags are part of the fare, not an add-on. Five passengers with ski gear in the full-size SUV, six with regular bags.

No other parties and no stops before yours. Your driver is yours from the curb at the terminal to the door at the top.

Rates start here and rise with the time of day and any extras. Airport fees are in the price. A day trip to a mountain you are not staying at, and the 14 passenger van, are both quoted per trip.

Where we drop off at Alta
Private condos and rentals in the canyon too. Name the lodge or the building when you reserve — it is worth more to a driver up there than a street address is.
The drive
Down the valley to the mouth of Little Cottonwood, then the full length of the canyon, past Snowbird to the top. How long it takes depends on the hour, the weather and the traffic at the mouth, so the reservation system shows the estimated drive time on your quote — before you book.
After a big overnight storm the canyon backs up long before the lifts turn. We will suggest an earlier pickup rather than let you sit in it, and if the road is shut we tell you what we know as soon as we know it.

How much is a ride from Salt Lake City Airport to Alta?
Starting at $200 in the full-size SUV, either direction. Rates start there and rise with the time of day and any extras — so we quote you a price before you book, and that price does not change afterwards. Airport fees are in the price.
What happens if there is a traction restriction on the canyon?
Nothing changes for you. Our vehicles run 4WD with winter tires all season, which is what the restriction is asking for, so we are compliant before it is posted.
What if the road is closed for avalanche control when I land?
Nobody drives around a closure, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we do is watch the road report, keep you informed, and get you up as soon as it opens. If the closure runs long, we will drop you at a hotel in the valley rather than leave you sitting at the airport, then take you up to Alta once the road opens. The room is yours to book; the run up is quoted as a separate trip. If your pickup has to move, we would rather call you than leave you working it out at the carousel.
Can you take us over to Snowbasin for a day?
Yes, and any of the other mountains too. A day trip to a resort you are not staying at is quoted per trip rather than priced off a list, because it depends which one and on whether we wait for you. Tell us the plan and we will put a number on it before you book.
Where do we meet you at the airport?
Curbside as standard. Your driver confirms with you the day before, then meets you at the first curb outside between columns 5A and 6A. If you would rather be met inside baggage claim, meet and greet costs $40.
How far ahead should I reserve?
As early as you can. The further ahead we know about a trip, the better we can plan the day around it — and holiday weeks and the busiest stretches of January go first. Twenty-four hours still works for most trips, and we take later ones by phone.
