Ski resort transfers — Sundance

SLC Airport to Sundance

Sundance sits on the back of Timpanogos, up Provo Canyon and a good way south of everything else on this list. It is one of the longer resort runs and the one people most often underestimate, which is a reason to have it reserved rather than arranged on the day.

A full-size SUV parked in front of autumn aspens

The long way south

Down the valley, then up Provo Canyon — a good deal further than the Cottonwoods and in the opposite direction. Worth knowing when you are choosing a flight, and worth having settled before you land.

One road in, and we know it

Provo Canyon is the way up in winter, in whatever the weather is doing. 4WD on winter tires all season, and a driver who has made the climb in the dark before.

Dropped at the door

The lodge, the cottage, the mountain home you have rented — wherever you are staying on the resort, that is where we set you and the bags down.

Your gear comes free

Skis, boards and boot bags are part of the fare, not an add-on. Five passengers with ski gear in the full-size SUV, six with regular bags.

Never a shared ride

No other parties and no extra stops. On a run this long that is the difference between arriving and touring Utah County first.

We track your flight

Delays, early arrivals, diversions — we move the pickup to your actual landing without you having to call, and the 45 minutes of free wait time starts from then.

Your price before you book

You get the number first, and it does not move afterwards. No surge, no recalculation on the way, no different figure on the receipt.

Rates start here and rise with the time of day and any extras. Airport fees are in the price. A day trip to a mountain you are not staying at, and the 14 passenger van, are both quoted per trip. Flying into Provo instead? Ask and we will quote it.

A pickup late at night, overnight or early in the morning costs more than the same trip in the middle of the day. Whichever applies is in the price we quote you, so nothing is added afterwards.

Where we drop off at Sundance

Sundance Mountain Resort The Inn Cottages and mountain homes Aspen Grove Provo Canyon

It is one resort on one road, so there is no long list here and no need for one. Give us the building or the unit and we will find it.

The drive

South out of the valley, then east up Provo Canyon and the climb to the resort. It is one of the longest runs on our resort list, and how long it takes depends on the hour and the weather — so rather than print a number that may not hold, the reservation system shows the estimated drive time on your quote, before you book.

The vehicles run 4WD on winter tires all season. Give yourself more time out of Sundance on the way home than you think you need; we will suggest a pickup time that does, and you can move it.

Call or text us your flight info on (801) 432-0033 and we’ll help you choose the best pickup time.

Sundance questions

How much is a ride from Salt Lake City Airport to Sundance?

Starting at $220 in the full-size SUV, either direction. Rates start there and rise with the time of day and any extras — so we quote you a price before you book, and that price does not change afterwards. Airport fees are in the price.

Should I fly into Salt Lake City or Provo?

Either. Provo is closer to Sundance and Salt Lake City has far more flights, so most people end up at SLC and that is the run we do most. We serve Provo and Ogden as well, with the same flight tracking and the same wait time — ask and we will quote it.

Do skis and snowboards cost extra?

No. Skis, boards and boot bags are part of the fare. Five passengers travel comfortably with ski gear in the full-size SUV, six with regular bags. For a larger group there is a 14 passenger van, quoted per trip rather than priced off a list.

Can you take us up for a day from Park City or Salt Lake?

Yes. A day trip to a mountain you are not staying at is quoted per trip rather than priced off a list, because it depends where you are starting from and on whether we wait for you. Tell us the plan and we will put a number on it before you book.

Where do we meet you at the airport?

Curbside as standard. Your driver confirms with you the day before, then meets you at the first curb outside between columns 5A and 6A. If you would rather be met inside baggage claim, meet and greet costs $40.

How far ahead should I reserve?

As early as you can. The further ahead we know about a trip, the better we can plan the day around it — and on a run this long that matters more, not less. Twenty-four hours still works for most trips, and we take later ones by phone.
